Activity

Advanced Life Solutions is developing Perla®, a patented liquid for the preservation and protection of grafts aimed at improving the functional recovery of transplanted organs and their lifespan.

ALS was founded by Silvina Ramella in order to market an innovative formulation developed and patented by the University of Barcelona. Perla® aims to better protect more fragile grafts, especially from older donors.

The fluids currently used in transplantation have existed for 20 to 35 years and are presented as less and less suitable for organs from older donors.

Objectives

After a €1.8 million seed round with private investors and the BPI, ALS concludes a €4.5 million Series A with two family holdings (Pharmanet and Cantrak) to finalize the CE mark and obtain FDA approval for the United States.Perla® is the first step in an expanded offer, with two other projects under development.
