THM Capital Advisory advises Amyl Therapeutics on its €8.25 million Series A extension funding

THM Capital Advisory advised Amyl Therapeutics, a Belgian biotechnology company developing a first-in-class therapeutic approach for Alzheimer’s disease and other neurodegenerative diseases, on the completion of an €8.25 million financing round, combining €3.85 million in equity financing with €4.4 million in non-dilutive funding from the Walloon Region.

The equity roundbrings together new private investors, including family offices and businessangels, alongside existing shareholders Mérieux Equity Partners and Noshaq.

Founded in 2020 and headquartered in Liège, Amyl Therapeutics is developing an innovative pan-amyloid immunotherapy platform designed to simultaneously target the main pathological protein aggregates involved in neurodegenerative diseases:amyloid-β, Tau and α-synuclein.

Unlike existing monoclonal antibodies targeting a single pathological protein, AmylTherapeutics is developing a fusion protein designed to recognize the common amyloid structure shared by these different aggregates. The candidate also incorporates an engineered Fc domain and a brain-shuttle technology aimed at improving brain penetration while reducing the safety limitations associated with current anti-amyloid therapies.

The proceeds of the financing will notably enable Amyl Therapeutics to complete the selection and characterization of its clinical candidate and generate the in vivo efficacy and safety data required to validate its platform. The Company will also expand its laboratory facilities at the LegiaPark life sciences campus in Liège and strengthen its R&D team.

This financingrepresents a key milestone in the development of Amyl Therapeutics and willsupport the Company towards the next major value inflection point of itsprogram: the demonstration of in vivo proof of concept ahead of clinicaldevelopment.
