THM Capital Advisory advises Advanced Life Solutions on the completion of a €2.5m funding round following CE marking of PERLA®

THM CapitalAdvisory advised Advanced Life Solutions (ALS), a French medtech company specializing in organ preservation and protection solutions, on the completion of a €2.5m financing round, including €0.9m non-dilutive bank financing. This financing follows a major regulatory milestone for the Company with the CEmarking of PERLA®, its innovative solution designed to improve graft preservation and actively protect organs against ischemia-reperfusion injuries.

ALS is developing a New Class of solutions in the field of organ transplantation, addressing a critical unmet medical need. While transplantation remains the standard of care for end-stage organ failure, current storage / preservation solutions (historically referred to as ColdStorage Solutions – CSS) have seen limited innovation over the past decades and do not adequately protect increasingly sensible grafts from older donors.

With PERLA®, ALS introduces a first-in-class Preservation& Protection Solutions (PPS), designed not only to preserve but also toactively protect grafts against ischemia-reperfusion injuries. As PPS, PERLA®marks a shift from traditional passive preservation approaches.

The proceeds of the financing will enable ALS to:

• support the commercial rollout of PERLA® in Europe, and in countries recognizing CE mark and MDSAP regulations.
• fund a large-scale randomized comparative clinical trial,
• receive 510(k) FDA clearance to access the US market.

Founded in 2016, ALS is led by a highly experienced management team combining scientific and industrial expertise in organ preservation. The Company benefits from strong intellectual property and operates in a global market driven by structural organ shortages and increasing demand for transplantation solutions.
